I'll admit I was a little surprised to find apocalyptic science fiction, when I was expecting a more typical horror, then again, The Taking certainly has its share of horrible monsters. So, given how much I'd enjoyed Phantoms, I decided it was time to try another book by Dean Koontz. Having just finished a rather large fantasy epic, I was looking for something short, stand alone, and in a different genre. ![]()
